I seriously doubt whether anything will ever erase the memory of the first time I heard his voice. How I almost didn’t listen to the message that night but I let it play on, even as I drifted off to sleep. ‘Conquering Unbelief’, that was the title.
But the defining moment came the second time and I have never looked back since then. ‘The Holy Spirit’, sent to me by Bro Joseph Babalola (who later became my supplier before introducing me to 4shared app. God bless you sir🙏).
You see, I was in a bad shape at the time, though God had begun working on me before then. I had just rededicated my life to God a few weeks back and was in need of all the help I could get. Here was a man talking with so much passion and conviction about the Holy Spirit while I was still struggling to get even the basics right. His voice was like a hand God used to pull me out of the mess that was my mind at that time.
God helped me to be intentional about my spiritual growth and not leave it to chance. I didn’t worry that I didn’t really have close friends in my first year then. My phone and earpiece were my best friends as I walked back from class by day. And by night, I’d find my way to DLCF Glass House just to attend Bible Study and Revival Hour.
From your altar in Zaria to my room in Ibadan, my life changed and growth came.
Whether it’s Koinonia, or the few times I have been privileged to be under your live ministration, it’s always a time of refreshing hearing you bring God’s word sir.So, to a man so influential to the spiritual lives of many young men and women in the body of Chrst. To a man who is nothing short of a blessing to his generation. To a man who has proved over and over that distance is never a barrier in the realm of the spirit, I say HAPPY BIRTHDAY APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN NIMMAK. May God preserve you sir. You will never know a better yesterday.
Joining the world in celebration,
Sinuola.
