Your married friend and colleague has been grinning from ear to ear all day. Her husband must be related to Romeo or King Solomon . There is no other explanation.

Just two hours ago, your single but soon to wed friend just sent you a photo of the cupcakes ‘bro’ just sent to her office. He even put a note saying there’s more to come.

And just now, your flatmate sent you “Hi dear, how’s work? Don’t bother buying or cooking anything this night, Daniel and I are going to the movies later this afternoon. I’ll get takeout on my way. Love you!”

Seated in your office chair, trying to be productive for the day you are. Single. Yes, loving Jesus, but still single. Now you’re wondering aloud like that person who said “How can I have eternal life and no love life Lord?” Lol.

I’m not here to give you tips on how to find love before next Valentine or anything like that. I’m just here as a christian youth, as single as can be 😂 to encourage you in my little way. Like a friend seated beside you, holding your hands and saying “we got this”. Only I’m saying “We are in this ministry together, but God’s got this!”

On days like this, you may feel lonely. Jesus’ love is enough but right now, you’re not feeling ‘it’. Beloved, this too will surely pass. Trust God and His timing since we know that He knows better than we do. Be genuinely happy for those in true love around you. Don’t let the devil cause you to keep grudges with God on account of your single status. Show love, the God kind, to everyone around you. Let your actions brighten someone’s day. There will hardly be time to dwell on negative thoughts then.

Being a single lady or guy never killed nobody. Hold your Bible, meditate on the book of 1st John and keep loving Jesus. You won’t die. You do not have to settle for less just because you don’t want to be alone. Better to be single in God’s will than in a relationship founded on disobedience.

We are His children. He will make it happen. In its due time. And when it happens, please try not to be like the ones mentioned earlier. Keep your blushing, giggles and love poems to yourself please 😂 . Help the singles around you avoid depression.
